  • Should I switch out my tank?

    Hi everyone,

I have a 100 gallon RR, 60"x18" footprint tank that I have used as a reef tank in the past. I now want to do a freshwater tank and plan to do schools of tetras and such. I am concerned that I migh loose a bunch of fish into the overflow box and then filter. I'm thinking of either trying to trade with someone for a non drilled tank or removing the overflow box and just capping off the holes with the bulk heads. What option would you take?

You can try tight-fitting coarse sponges inside the top of the overflow weir and keep the fish from getting in.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Plastic mesh netting cut to fit. Best solution I have found for this. Just cut it to fit andbplace inside the overflow box and that's it. Try to get the clear one.
