Kissing gouramis can get quite large. I've seen them up to 8". They may do ok with your oscars if they are added now... much like the parrots. I've never seen kissers injure other fish... just trying to take each other's faces off.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I love loaches. I have 3 golden dojos and 2 kuhli loahes, had three too but one committed suicide found a lil hole at the top. I also found one of my goldens in the aquaclear while doing a WC

Thanks, Mark! I think for now I'm just gonna try the parrots and see how that goes. Very soon the 75g won't be big enough for our O's, muchless the O's and the face shredders, lol. On a side note, our snails are happily taking over their little tank & it just so happens to be feeding time for the puffers!

Hopefully someone can tell me what kind of loach he is. He doesn't look like the other zebras I've found online.

It's on page 2 at the bottom, Bee. But, here's another one!
                    012.jpg

And just to update.... there has been no more loach olympics since moving the parrots over with the oscars. I think they were just too crowded and it was makin' 'em jumpy/frustrated. The parrots are getting along with the oscars, too! The oscars attitudes were as if to say "Holy cow, you're huge & we don't want no part of that!" & they've stayed peaceful all day.

Hm. I've seen that before... but are you sure it's a loach? I can't remember what it's called. EK?

Those parrots look GREAT in that tank with the oscars. Rock on! Haha I BET they were all freaked out... those parrots can have crazy expressions LOL. So stocking problems partially solved??

Thanks ladies! Truly appreciate yall's help. We got the pair from another boxer & I he musta been misinformed, too. At least now we know! Now, I gotta research these guys so we know how to properly care for them. First thing I learned I gotta do is count the bands cuz that determines which they are (affinis or fasciatus) *30 minutes later & distracted by EK's pimping post* and since I forgot to post this when I flipped to the other window to read more & go count... there's 10, lol. Fasciatus it is! *Doh!*
