Does anyone know of any good spots in the area for collecting driftwood. I know of spots in Livingstone and by my deerlease but when I'm in those areas I don't have time for collecting. Wanting to go collecting a lil closer to home

It's been my experience that any good flowing creek bed is gonna hide good stuff. I also used to collect down in Galveston on the beach. I never had problems once i soaked in fresh water and cleaned thoroughly. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the tip. I know a huge area in galveston with a ton of dead and dried up trees that from a distance looks good. But was hesitant on messing w them due to the salt water.

No problem bro. Just make sure you let them soak, rinse and then soak again. Can be alot of work but it's been a much cheaper effective alternative than hittin the store. Good luck in your search!
