Taking Idea's of what kind of fishies to stock up on
Re: Taking Idea's of what kind of fishies to stock up on
I know what ya mean. I bought a few of them from there when I was pretty new at this and lucked out I guess. I have a pair that bred for me twice. I have two little males that made it. The female would always spit the few that she had at night before I could strip them and I would find the little ones hiding between the rocks in my 75g.

Honestly if I was to have a store, Exotics would be 40%, bread and butter would be 40%, and then 15% of what I wanted no matter what. That last 5% I would hold for special orders.
I would utilize my floor space in Livestock. Dry goods I know are a big money maker, but in reality I believe that more people these days will save money, and buy dry goods online.
Some dry goods you need to have but I would not get crazy with it.
Rocks and Driftwood of various shapes and sizes, light bulbs, food, and medications is what I would mostly keep in dry goods.
Exotics would have to be a mixture, because in my 15% of what I would keep, I know Exotic Cichlids TANGS especially would be covered.

Some of the lesser seen mbuna cichlids, as already mentioned the salousi, good quality rusties would be nice. some of the african catfish specifically this one, synodontis njassae....
Re: Taking Idea's of what kind of fishies to stock up on
Goodeids, natives (killifish, the more brightly colored shiners, suckers, etc), Aegla (hermit crab relative from the amazon), gobies, halfbeaks, african sucker mouth catfish, south american darters, freshwater crabs, brackish toadfish and waspfish, african glass catfish,
vampire plecos, amphibians (like sirens, rubber eels, amphiumas, and axolotls), less common species of puffers, knifefish, barbs, and danios.
NO painted/tattooed fish please! I have no issues with hybrids though.

Ectodus and Paracyp.
Funky Plecos
Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
Re: Taking Idea's of what kind of fishies to stock up on
I have noticed that all types of NLS does not sell.....Cichlid formula, Thera+A, Growth and H20 is the only real ones I see selling when there is a selection to choose from.
Re: Taking Idea's of what kind of fishies to stock up on
Really cool Plecos and catfish that you don't see everyday. A nice Betta selection, and preferably fish that aren't in cups or jars. I have nothing against stores that sell their Bettas that way, I just think it would be nice to see somebody do something different with their Bettas. I like Gourmies and Tetras too.
So many things can be a mystery, when all we're seeking is freedom...
