It seems as though it is taking me forever to get everything that is needed for my tank. It is a slow process but what can I expect when I have a daughter in college and one that is a senior in high school. I will be on vacation the end of the month and will be rearranging funiture and getting rid of some things in the den. Also, I will be painting the back of the tank black. My goal is to have the tank in place before the end of Feb 2012. I have purchased the following: Fluval FX5, Eheim 2224 for bio only, 2 glass canopies, 300w Hydo Inline Heater, 2 48in T5 Light Fixtures - 1 with Coralife Colormax & Coralife 6700K bulbs and the other with 2 Coralife 10,000K Daylight bulbs, 2 Koralia 1050gph, 2 1200 Maxijet Powerheads, 2 aquasun aquarium controllers, 24in powerstrip, Crushed Coral, Purigen Seachem Matrix, 20L tank for my sump and Overflow Box. Only have a few more things to purchase: 120lbs of tarpedo sand, 200lbs of uvalde river rocks, mag 9.5 pump and stand/canopy.

1. They may not be able to Handel sliding in and out over a period of time with what looks like a lot of weight.
2. The sliders are gonna rust very fast if this is a sw tank. If its fw they will still rust but not as fast.
3. If they are gonna rust, replacing them won't be easy at all. And you cant use plastic sliders because they won't ever be able to hold that much weight.
4. if you do plan on using the slidders and replacing them often, which will get cost effective, it will also compromise the integrity if the stand in which case could (but not limited to) cause the whole stand to collapse. If I was you I would skip the slidders and put something fancy on it like, slidding doors.
Please correct me if I have not provided accurate enough reasons why this could go wrong. Not trying to sound rude but overall this is a very nice set-up
