Are you concerned with any of the problems I stated above. Overall I love the design

For those of you that have not met me, I am a female and I can do alot but I do not mess around with no type of saws.

afremont, no I am not building it myself, someone is going to build it for me.

jwh, this will be for a fw tank and it will not be drilled. The slider drawer that is underneath the wet/dry will be used for storage only and the wet/dry will not be on sliders. The side where the canisters ( FX5 & Eheim 2217) are going will be on a sliding shelf at the very bottom and I did not think that would pose a problem because the slider brackets will be underneath and anchored to a 2x4 and plywood. I will probably have to do maintence about once a quarter if then on the two canisters. I am probably going to have to have some modifications once he get started and I will be willing to change some things.

I am going to use Spring Loaded Support Hinges on the canopy. There will be 3 hinges per side.

Last but not least jwh, I did not think that you were being rude, you stated your opinion and that is what I wanted from the BOX members is to tell me what they think good, bad or in different.
!!!Live for today and not for tomorrow.!!!

It sounds like a solid design as long as those slide outs can support your canister weight. Very exciting stuff, Letta!
