    1) remove the mother, grind up flakes or find micro foods for them to feed off of.
    2) yes, eventually the fry will become predators
    3) Yes, the plants will give them added sense of security and make them feel safer. Floating plants will suffice.

      1) good, flake it is as I don't know any micro foods.
      2) once the fry is at a good size to survive on my main tank they will be transfer.
      3) This tank will become my Planted / Shrimp Tank. i would be placing moss mainly and some drift wood to space it. thats why I'm asking PFS or Gravel

The substrate would be personal preferrence but depending on your shrimp you could benefit from plant substrate which will lower pH and such to provide an ideal setting

I use whatever type of flake I have on hand and use my fingers to grind it up into small portions. You just want to make sure you don't overfeed.

If you stick to low-light plants then in most cases you will get by with PFS, only thing about that is PFS compacts after while so it will kill off the roots of any plant that is planted in the substrate. Stick with mosses, anubias and ferns and you'll be fine with them attached to driftwood.

EK: yo just gave me the best answer thank you. im going to go wild and use double substrate. i will use gravel on the back side and sides for the plants to gron and PFS on the middle and front. something Navarro would do i think.
