AKA red line torpedo barb, or Denison barb (Puntius denisonii)
What a nice looking fish.
I got away with four with plans for one more of these from Mike's place today (thanks Mike for holding these). Â They are about 2.5 to 3 in. Â Put them in the tank just before feeding time to distract any bullies. Â They took their place right away swimming in the middle of the tank. Â After a few laps they started eating some freeze dried tube worms. Â
They've been tight schoolers, just like at the store, and to me look like a big sized rummy nose.
Great looking fish, not for the small tank as they are very active and will grow larger. Â Mike has kept three that aren't for sale that you can go look at in his planted show tank if he doesn't have them in stock.
