  • They sell mats of plastic grass which would help survival rate if they happen to scatter the eggs there. I've had the best luck with eheim canisters, probably the best breeder equipment ever!

Few weeks after they've laid eggs just pour out your canister and voila!

I'd suggest some tetras. Fairly simple dither fish that should lure your rams out a bit more often. For top layering I would suggest A Hatchetfish (Silver or Marble) or maybe Bloodfins. Mid layer is touchy, you want sturdiness and being able to avoid the rams. I'd go with Diamond or Bleeding Hearts. Your bottom is set, between Cories and Rams its a bit crowded and anything else would get someone pushy in a tank that size. A school of 4-6 Hatchets or bloodfins should really do well and then you can think about adding anything else into the mix.

Home Depot? Lowes? A rock or landscaping company? Not sure what that has to do with this thread though...

                    • With the finer sand it's nice but make sure to stir it around or dig through it every water change and break it up so it doesn't compact and form anerobic gas pockets.

                      • Good to know I would have just been doing water changes and thats all. Should I do that with my courser sand as well or is it ok since gas can go through it?

                        • I keep forgeting you have a 15. You can have 2 angels but in 3 months you will need a bigger thank.

You should move your sand no matter how fine it is or how big. That way you can also remove decay food and other waste.

Are the Bleeding Hearts injected with dye like the Painted Glass? I just googled the Bleeding Hearts and they look awesome. The hatchetfish are creepy. But the Diamond and Bloodfins are super cool as well.

I now want a bigger tank so we can get Angel fish! I always thought you could get whatever tank you wanted and put whatever fish you wanted in it. Boy am I glad Chris found this site.
