Thanks Roy. I really would like to sleep since I've been up 27 hours now but I gotta sort this out first! I just don't want it to spread beyond the 2 fish that are sick right now.

                      • How are you going about treatment? I've successfully used some meds and raised the temp before (to 86 degrees I think) and had it under control in a week.

                        • Yup, got to get temps around 85 - 86 for ich to release themselves off the fish.

There was already 1 tbsp salt per 10 gallons in the tank. Raised temp to 86. Now awaiting the opening of various LFS's to find out if they have Kordon's organic Ich Attack. If I find it, I'll open up the canister to remove the Purigen first and then dose the tank this morning and again tonight. Lights are off.

Any other ideas that wouldn't entail daily large water changes? My schedule definitely won't permit that til next week. :(

Yeah, your inline's set to 86 right now to speed up the life cycle of the darn parasites. I've increased aeration too.

                              • Btw are you checking temps of the water? Going by the dial on the heater not a good idea
