Who's going to FOTAS?

Thought I'd start a thread on the upcoming FOTAS convention, Sept 7th thru Sept 9th that is being held in SA.  I plan on going, I'll be leaving Friday morning and returning Sunday after the auction.  I worked contract for nearly two years in SA and plan on spending the early part of Friday visiting with my former co-workers.  

I'm not a good candidate to carpool with as I have circumstances that may require me to return to Houston with little or no warning and I'd hate to leave anyone stranded.  Plus, I won't be staying on site at the hotel, I'm staying around the corner where I can stay free.  I have over a half million Hilton Honors points and could probably live in a Hilton branded hotel for free for months   .

I'm going...wife and I will be in SA for a R&R weekend.

Hill Country Cichlid Club (FOTAS sponsors) is a good club and I have enjoyed their auctions.

I am going Saturday morning around 7am and coming back Sunday around noon. I am staying in the hotel Saturday night. I have to work. If someone wants to carpool on that schedule I will either buy your gas or let you buy mine. I have an S10 with two windows down at 60 mph if you want to ride. I am not taking any fish. Whatever fits in the back works for me.

We are going down Thursday afternoon and plan to stay through the auction Sunday.  Making a mini vacation out of it.  Plan to do a wine tour through the Hill country around Kerrville Friday.  Then FOTAS.  We will be staying at the hotel.  Should be a fun event.

Anybody having trouble booking a room at the FOTAS price, try calling  and asking for the sales rep during the day (8-5) at the hotel.

Bump again, almost out the door and down the road.  Have to feed the angelfish fry and make sure my fish keeping assistant has all the instructions for the weekend.
