      +1!

So many long nights at work and trying to do water changes early in the morning after work.... hundreds of gallons of water before waking up and stepping into the pool that was once a house.

Everyone is feeling your pain. Sorry about what happened.

One thing to check on...was the tank level? If not, even just a little can cause stress on the tank and one day lead to what happened to you. I'm not saying that is what happened, just one of many possibilities.

Fish are ok at the moment, they are in an old 55gal that I had in the garage. I've spent the majority of the day pulling everything out of the 140 and cleaning it up. I'm having the 180 I bought delivered this evening.

I'll post some pictures of where the tank split here in a little bit. I've just about got all the substrate out of it now.

Well, good. All things said and done, you didn't lose most of your fish and the new (and upgraded) tank is on the way. Things definitely could have been worse, even though I'm sure this has been pretty stressful.

                Best of luck!

Indeed! Infact I think I might do a journal of the build since I semi know what I am doing now. Lots of plans, the tank gets here tonight so I am pretty excited. Not sure how long it will take me to get sorted out, but I imagine I will make way too many trips to home depot in the process....

Man what a shame that is a nice looking tank and stand.

hard to tell from pics probably could be fixed

I think it can be fixed. But who would ever trust it... looks like the front can off the bottom

I think someone would LOVE this as a frog or turtle or even SNAKE tank. You wouldn't get your money's worth but advertise as a snake tank and be up front it doesn't hold water. That would be a huge improvement for repts or herps.

I ended up selling the tank, I got $250 for it which I thought was pretty decent. Guess it was too low because I had cash in hand and the tank was out my door less than 2 hours after I posted it... Oh well. On to the next thing.
