keep them in small tank and limit the amount of water changes you do, the nitrate build up would hinder their growth and probably skip the addition of salt/brackish to further hinder their growth.

A small brackish set up could really be intense. Humphead glassfish, bumblebee gobies, freshwater (brackish) soles, halfbeaks, or even go all out and do some four eyed fish (Anableps). There is really a variety of different fish that are occasionally seen like wasp fish that could really look great in a nice set up.In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
