  • Sunkenmetal's ADA 120 Planning thread

So I am going to have some holes cut in my ADA 120. I am not sure about the lay out or size holes so some input would be appreciated.

So I am wondering what you all think for hole position.

Here is my first drawing it is just a rough drawing and will change...

I know. Tank pics. Can't hurt!

I have not much experience with drilling tanks. But a lotta folks on here do so I'm sure you'll get some great ideas and feedback.

first rule of aquarium club is that you dont talk about drilling holes in a perfectly good ADA tank...

is this the bottom of the tank? not sure what you intend to accomplish so i cant comment on the design, more info on that?

It returns water to the other end of the tank. I am trying to get the flow going in one direction like a stream.

First thing first, hope that tank survives the drilling. Grear concept, can't wait to see the end product.

For us drill noobs, could you all explain why the tank shouldn't be drilled?

Glass on an ADA tank is very thin and with the holes so close together the risk of cracking is very high. IF it cracks its not the drillers liability.

                              That'd suck if it cracks!
