  • Leak check #2

Ok finished up my river manifold time to fill it with water and check for leaks.

Filled the tank full with water. Checked the bulkheads again and no leaks. Then hooked up a hose to the output of the manifold so I can bleed any trapped air and get an idea of the flow. Holy crap it fills up a five gallon bucket in about 15 to 20 seconds lol. Ran about ten buckets through till air quit coming out and dumped it back in the tank.

My pump and Lights should be here anytime they are on the truck for delivery

    Here are some pictures...

                    • The pump and lights showed up today. Just finished installing them....

First the Pump it is a Eheim 1262. Ignore the black hose it is temporary till I can get out to a LFS and get some Eheim hose...

It is pretty quiet just a little hum. I have it temporarily screwed down till I can get some better screws for the job.

Now the lights. They are Current TruLumen Pro LED Strip Lights Using the docking mounts made for them.

One strip is a 8000k Sun White the second is a 12000k Diamond white strip.

My only complaint is the FN screws that come with the Legs they are tiny little POS! I am going to go threw my screw collection and see if I can find some cap screws that will work better.

                      • those lights do look clean! not much vibration on the pump? you can probably buy rubber mount feet at a hardware store...

Not really a vibration just a nice low hum... I tried mounting it with some foam under it still a hum. I am not worried about it.

                          • damn that's nice!

Try putting a foam mat between the pump and stand to minimize any resonance

tried that just changed the tone of the hum. I am going to try and mount it on springs... It really isn't much of an issue though I kinda like the humming lol

                              • Looks great! Maybe a piece of rubber under the pump, that always does the trick for me...
