art is basically everything that amuses a being.. for instance a chair can be art to me but to others it is just a chair... but an artist is categorized in 4 different roles... 1. he/she sees the world in a new innovative way...2.he/she create a visual record of the time and place... 3.he/she imbue functional object with beauty/meaning... 4.he/she give form to immaterial idea/feeling... lol..ART HAS SUCH A PERSPECTIVE THAT ONLY THE PERSON WHO IS VIEWING AN OBJECT(drawing,painting,sculpture,etc.) CAN DESCRIBE IT AS ART... =DDD

Wrong. It is on you to make sure to verify what you know when somebody questions its veracity, without blindly defending something that the rest of the world had agreed to be the proper spelling of this word. Your art teacher probably was not hired to teach English BTW
