  • Threadfin Rainbowfish

I tried pulling up some of the old posts concerning these fish, but results were pretty old and / or scattered. Is anyone still keeping Threadfins?  Seemed like a several LFS on my side of town had these a couple of years ago, but I can't say that I've seen any lately.  If it's true they won't eat my red cherry shrimp, I'd love to try a small group in my planted 40 gallon.
Has anyone seen any nice ones for sale, preferably on the south or southeast side of town? As much as I'd like to get over to the north and northwest side shops, it's not easy.

I haven't sen them on any side of town, but I haven't exactly been looking for them. I might stop by the shop one 146 and NASA rd 1 today, if I do I'll keep an eye out.

i saw some at fish gallery last week. they may be all gone but they were like 6 bucks a piece (too pricey for really sensitive fish in my book) I think i have 1 left in a tank somewhere)

        Fish Gallery had/has them
        Fish ranch
I think City Pets has them too

with threadfins their throat is smaller then their mouth so your shrimp would be safe...be careful feeding them too cause the can and will choke themselves to death. The only problem I found with most places if finding females which I was only able to get from Mike back in the Sunny's days.
