Ok so i decided to get a wet dry from Mike. Do I still need a powerhead with it?

      Re: Powerhead/Pump

I have a W/D rated for 75 gallons on my 125, and a eheim 2217, and a Oddessea XP250 powerhead, and I feel I am a bit under filter'd if you will, only because I have about 40 fish in this tank.

My point is, you can't really go overboard on filtration, well you can, but only by adding multiple filters and powerheads.

2 powerheads, One canister, and a good W/D would be my ideal set up on my 125.

OR.....I could see myself going with 2 emperor 400's and the W/D. That would work for me as well.

Overfiltration is perfect filtration on a cichlid tank.

        My 125g has a W/D rated for a 300g-1200pgh pump, Eheim Pro 2228, Rena XP3, Maxi-jet 900-600, Odyssea xp350 in the sump.

You can't go wrong with a Wet/Dry! They are great bio-filters but IMO you would want at least another canister in there to help with mechanical filtration  and circulation.
