I think get the vortech mp40 and remove two power heads and maybe a fan for the top of the tank...

or call up sunkendrilla and go with canisters...thats starting all over though. what if you made longer intake strainers and output spraybars for the powerheads so that the motor was above the surface of the water? you would have to shift your river manifold so that the powerheads were close to the glass and not sticking up in the middle of the tank.

That would increase head height and decrease flow... It is a good Idea but he would lose to much flow....

good point, powerheads dont have much head pressure. you would have to run them up to fountain pumps or something...too bad theres not a canopy to hide them in. texas screws up everything lol. i was gonna put some grow out tanks in the garage until i put a thermometer in there. i doubt many plants would flourish in the low 90s. maybe i can disguise the tanks as gifts for my girl, i just have to tell her not to touch them. and then they would have to be pretty. sigh.

edit: it works but doesn't show the vid like some of y'all's do. Oh well... Pay no attention to the heavy breathing. The guy who took the vid was very excited LOL

Tank looks amazing. The vid is pretty neat too. The motion of the vid feels weird (but cool) and I cant figure out how to describe it.

At least with a chiller you would never have to worry about temp being off!!

Would you get the flow out of big sump pump? Just making the return a floor sweeper. using an overflow over the top and the can.filters just like they are. with the pump out of the water it would drop temp. ...

                      The Tank looks fantastic Mark...

Thanks for the input and comments, y'all. You've given me some ideas. I have two canisters on it now; Eheim 2217s. I'm not married to the manifold. I may be able to get rid of it and the other powerheads and go with a couple mp40s. I'll price some chillers, too. Thanks a bunch, guys!

Yes, whatever course I take, it will have to include the top staying.
