ADA Rimless tanks...

I was in City Pets Saturday and saw a couple of the ADA Rimless tanks and think they are absolutely beautiful.  I didn't ask questions in the store, but what looked like a 30 gallon was marked $299.  I know it's a lot of money/gallon, but I'm falling in love with this tank.  I think I've seen pics on HFB of these before, from Ek I think.  

So tell me, what's a fair price to pay for one of these and where is the best place to get one?  I am in College Station, so I'm not afraid to drive to Houston/Austin/San Antonio/Dallas for the best deal... or even pay shipping if that works out best.

City Pets has the same prices as ADG which has the same prices for ADA products everywhere else. They are beautiful tanks and the only ones I have seen that looks better are the ELOS tanks but that's a whole nother beast!

I don't think it was marked $299 unless it was the ~50g cube or 90p which is a 55g I think.

You think that price is high? look into the built in overflow reef tank.....

I certainly could have been wrong on the size/price.  I saw what I thought was a 30 gallon sitting on a stand near their planted display, but it had no price on it.  Then I saw another tank still in bubble-wrap on the top shelf that had 299 marked on it.  I thought they appeared to be the same, but maybe not.  Like I said, I wasn't buying at that time, so I didn't even ask, but maybe I should have...

Anyone else have any experience w/ these tanks?

ADA Tanks are beautiful. Especially if you are interested in the overall look of the display. They come with a 5year warranty.The best and the cheapest place to get these tanks would be ADG:

does the 5 year warranty mean they don't last too long after that?

i was thinking of doing my new planted tank in one of these, but i would hope it lasts longer than 5 years for that kind of money

I believe there are several people out there with tanks older then 5yrs and I think most std tanks are only 1-2yr.

ADG supplies for CityPets and their prices are identical in everything...I have compared myself personally. The customer service you get with ADG will probably be much better but that is if you run into them when you go pick it up otherwise the secretary will just open the door for you and guide you to your stuff.  I use either whichever is convenient Fish Gallery on the other hand is for whatever reason a bit much more.

yeah they love their profit margin (a little too much) but they do get stuff other stores dont get very often.

well they usually have sme fish that others dont, just like other stores will have fish that they dont. but they do all seem to get the seasonal ones at the same time, and i find it funny how far apart they are in price sometimes.

they should definitely look into their pricing now, because not many fish they have are healthy, their tanks are currently like disease/death factories, they do have a nice store, lots of variety most of the time, and the big display aquariums, it would be nice if they had some nice looking planted tanks, they have two large planted tanks, but i would not call them aquascape!
