Re: What do you do with fry?

I used to breed Betta Falx & Betta Picta.  Both species are comunity fish - non-aggressive small mouthbrooders that require soft acid (pH 6.5) water.
The male carries about 15 eggs / fry in his mouth and spits them out in about 10 days.  Usually the parents don't bother the fry but older siblings will try to eat them.   I enjoyed them for about a year but they are rather drab and I lost interest in them and turned my stock over to the IBC Species Mainantence Program.

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
