Hi, I am trying to set up a 20g aquarium but there is the annoying calcium build up that I cant get rid of. I scrubbed it for a long time and soaked it but no out come. please Help me!
Hydor makes a powder designed to dissolve coraline algae and calcium on pumps. There isn't enough to soak the tank entirely, but there should be enough to turn the tank on the side and cake it on.
75 planted (Being Renovated)
Endlers
gobies
lots of nanos
I think I am first going to turn the tank on its side and soak it with 100% vinegar. Before I filled the tank half way with water and filled the rest with vinegar and it did not work well. Then I will try the others if it does not work. THANKS guys for the input!

for my last tank i had to resort to soaking paper towels with straight vinegar, placing them on the area, and then wrapping with plastic wrap so the vinegar didnt evaporate over night. it still took some razor blade work but even CLR wouldnt take this stuff off.
