    not like this !
Don't tell fish stories where people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.

Elvis The fish can't feel the freeze. they just go to sleep for ever. I think most would agree. Its the most humane way. it is exactly the way we do it.
It is your fish. you can do it how ever you want. Its up to you...

Troy is right fish do not feel being froze, they just slowly go to sleep, Kind of like putting a dying or very sick Dog to sleep.

That is always the way, I have done it in my 40 plus years of fish keeping. The most humane way.

why don't you just keep the fish?

Just pretend you got rid of it and just be happy with it. be careful of the snitches that lurk the forums though cause some have nothing better to do than cry about what they don't have.

The catfish industry uses really cold water and then magically you have fillets in a bag.

There's so many flaws with blunt force/cutting/freezing fish for euthanasia.

You could miss, and to believe fish can't feel pain is a load of bull. Why would they scratch themselves against objects when infested with external parasites, or why do fish stop fighting/swim away when another fish beat up on them?

The 100% pain free method is the Clove oil method. You just put the fish in a bucket with some of the tank water and start adding clove oil until the fish is knocked out. It should start rolling over, this is the time where you can do what you wish. Chopping a fish's head/smashing it is messy imo. Just continue to add Clove oil until it stops breathing.

The violent nature witch some choose or even advicing some one to brake the law. Just isn't right. I put it off to most trying to be funny.

As for fish feeling pain? I never said they didn't. I'm sure they do. I don't think they feel cold as pain either. I do know clove oil will work but I have never had the money to be that humane...
