i feel like i missed the party... after reading all this, i am surprised that noone mentioned vodka... thats how id wanna go. at work we use this stuff called "finquel", its a powder you add to water and they belly-up in seconds. i agree that fish i raise and care for are different to me than my sushi, but i did grill and eat a pacu that grew way too big. nobody wanted him and i know that they are considered a food fish in their native area. he was tasty.

i had him for 6 years and the only chemical i use is amquel. i feed varied healthy diets and the pacu ate lots of fresh fruits and veggies as well as pellets and guppies. i grilled, and toasted his memory... i also buried my cat in the backyard and planted a self pollinating peach tree over him, so in another year or 2 i can do the same, sort of... i just read the link to the euthanasia article, very informative. never again will i use vodka... i didnt realize it would be so bad, i imagined it quick easy and pleasant. live and learn...
