  • Has anyone purchased from......

AZGardens.com is an online fish store that's one of the leading suppliers in the USA of farm-raised tropical fish, aquarium plants, decorations, and more.

The prices are really cheap(which scares me) but I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased from them.

I am a big Drsfostersmith fan and i purchase 85% of all my equipment from them but liveaquaria.com seems to be a bit pricey.

Aquabid seems legit but I also seem a little iffy buying from them since its not an actual company.

    Anyways any suggestions on places?

I've come across this site multiple times but never ordered from it so I don't know if it's legit.

Most of my online buys are through Big Al's on equipment and Bob's Tropical Plants for live stuff. Both were terrific and I have never had a problem with either and received exactly what I ordered. I must agree that AZ Garden has me a bit skeptical, but their prices are good on a few things I have never seen elsewhere which has me a bit confused...

I havent personally but prices seem on the better side of resonable. Shipping charges are about normal as well. Let me know if you decide to buy anything in the future from them. I may piggy back on the order.

I've ordered from them once and got good service. I think I had ordered some Amano shrimp and some snails. It's been a while since I've ordered but I would remember if there was a problem.

i ordered exclusively from AZ and florida driftwood ten years ago and got very good service from the former. they are cheap because they have their own stocking and breeding ponds, they arent a middleman in most cases. i havent ordered from them since i got back into the hobby recently though. their flat rate shipping isnt really clear. i dont mind paying 40 bucks for express mail but i am not entrirely sure thats what you get for that amount. if our red devil crab group buy doesnt get enough support then i may buy them from AZG unless i find some nice CB somewhere that will ship to me.

i order my equipment from the drs, thatpetplace, and petmountain depending on who has the best deals at the time.

aquabid does have some risk but probably less so that ebay since its a smaller community and scammers are rooted out more quickly. the good side is you will find things there that you will find no where else. make sure what you are buying can be legally shipped to texas though.

Wasn't there some sort of issues with AZ recently?

I've ordered in the past with no problems but remember reading something about them recently, it might be on plantedtank.net.

Www.bigalsonline.com for equipment needs but not fish

Best part about them is no tax and very little shipping if any at all.

                            Run Run! Stay away...
The people there are either seasoned scammers or have no clue what they are doing.
I ordered a few of what they call "black forest" shrimp (which they picture as spongicola on their website) and they sent me what looked like grade C bee shrimp.
I emailed to say they sent me the wrong shrimp but they claim that its correct. I even sent a picture of what i recieved and asked them to compare with that they had pictured on their website. When they realized that the picture was of a different type of shrimp, instead of apologizing, they accused me of trying to scam them by sending a picture of different shrimp! Imagine that!
                            Stay away... FAR AWAY!

You saved my butt. I was going to put an order in for those too. After doing a bit of googling, there isn't anything (like ANYTHING) on that species of shrimp. If they looked anything like that picture I would count it as a big win, but as of now... I won't be taking the bait.
