Lol scandalous convict! I'm sure my fish will eat the fry.

i hope they do, for your sake. i now have about 60 of various sizes, plus the new fry. i recommend freezing the ones you intend to use as feeders before you put them in the big tank. they tend to drop straight down to the bottom and hide in the substrate otherwise.
      my fish house:
      2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers

      75g-
2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
      125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
      and about a dozen bettas....

I don't know if they would be able to reach the substrate with these things

thats a hell of a tank mistahoo! beautiful... and i agree, since you have no substrate to speak of. i was using larger pebbles in mine instead of small gravel until recently, i removed my substrate due to constantly cloudy water. the baby convicts would hide amongst the rocks. but even now, they are breeding and the fry are kept safe by the parents in a bare corner of the tank. watching the 3" parents chase off the 12" oscars and bichir is comical...

i just posted over there, i'm so jelly! my aggros are in a 75g, less stock but similar setup. biggest difference would be my water is still red after a year, thank you mopani. water changes and purigen have helped a bit, but i think it looks good with the red on the oscars and parrot.
