anyone try modifying the amount? I've bought some but don't want to make 3/4 of a cup of the stuff. I was thinking a 1/4 cup at a time would be good. And should I store the unused/unmade portion in the freezer?

Yes, I made way less the the recommended amount. Just use a similar ratio to that on the bag.
