  • My newest nano additions

Just wanted to share a few pics of my newest nano additions to my nano setups. I got to get the tanks clean before this weekends meetings, then maybe will have a camera to take some good pictures.... :)

They are all eating cyclopeze. I'm growing out some baby brine to get them something more exciting. Once they are a bit bigger they will eat frozen brine and even bloodworms.
    Scarlet badis (Dario dario)

    Okefenokee Pygmy Sunfish (Elassoma okenfenokee)
I'm kinda disappointing in the shipper. They sent it priority USPS, so they shipped on monday and it arrived wednesday. I ordered a mixed 4-lot. They sent 5 fish, but the biggest and nicest male was DOA. Technically I got what I paid for... but it's still annoying. There was no cool pack and the was WAY more water than air, which is weird since it wasn't overnight shipping.

With that said. They are eating well and the juvi males already have some decent color. Once they are fully grown they will be super nice. I might go try to catch the native species around here. Not as pretty but really fun.

Nice looking little fish. First one has some color! Need a FTS though.

the badis came from Fish Gallery. The Oke's came from Sach's aquaculture in florida (aquaculturestore.com).

got a few more pictures tonight. The badis tank is a little dirty, but they are new and I don't want to piss them off too bad after only being here a week. They are happy and eating and 1 of the males is showing off to a female. I feel like it's one of those that if I look at it the wrong way it's going to screw up.

This is the big male. When he flares his fins he looks awesome.

This is a small male Oke sticking his head out from his hiding place.

This is a female oke. Not too much on the eyes, but apparently enough to get the males worked up...

This isn't in a nano, but I felt like sharing anyhow...
