Best way to transport fish?

Just curiuos & may be a stupid question. Wondering what everyone else does??

In a bucket/tub? Always use a bubbler or no?

In one of those fish bags?

I use a 5g bait bucket. With a bubbler. if its not to far no bubbler...

Best way to transport fish?

I've done both. I prefer to bag fish for someone do they can soak them when they get home. It's really yours and the other persons preference. I use a bubbler if I'm an hour or more away from my house. You can get minnow bucket battery air pumps at Walmart. They come ready to go. Big fish 9/10 use a 5 gallon bucket.

Are the battery powered bubblers strong enough to run multiple tubs?

How many? I know they have different rated ones. Academy would probably have more options for you. I have use mine with a splitter on two buckets.

My lease is about to be up in a couple months, trying to plan ahead.

Also comtemplating a big downsizing of the # of tanks I have before I move. Just have less things to deal with.

in a move, you would want to get the fish stuff moved first or close to first... just in case the power is shut off

I put a towel down in my trunk. Then an ice chest with a bait bubbler. The towel is just incase I have to stop abruptly. The chest keeps the temp from changing quickly and also keeps the fish in the dark so they are calmer. Ive had five big fish sit in the chest during a move. It takes longer to move stuff some times so more water is better.

Depending on the size of the fish & how long they'll be in there, I use 5 gallon buckets for the little guys or an 18g tub with a lid ($4-5 at Walmart) and a bubbler.

yep... he's not telling a story, that is exactly how he does it... when he came to pick up his new fish from me... i worried that it would get hotter than hell in there and end up with a semi-boiled fish.....

I just use buckets or a cooler sometimes a bubbler and if its cold out some sorta heater had fish get to cold before and die in transit
