Yea I've seen them on YouTube and thought about it but I love Eheim haha. I'll end up prolly getting a 2217 to compliment my current filter.
Oh theres no water or substrate in it yet? Fill it. Carpet self levels well.

All depends on what he's going to put in there. But yeah, overfiltration is always good

You could do the DIY wet/dry + the Eheim!

Damn almost to the stage of putting sand in. My OCD has definitely got the best of me... All this fancy gadgetry I never had I have to route the lines. Putting air lines in now. Haven't really figured out which way I am going as far as fish yet. I have an Eheim rated for 160 and I have a 90 gal, so it should work pretty good.

Ok so today I'm going to do a little tweaking and tank will be done until fish are added. It's amazing how a 90 gal footprint gets so small when you add rock and plants. I hate how tall the actual tank is too because I can't reach the bottom very well to place stuff the way I want. I'll put some pics up later from laptop before I start moving stuff around. Just not happy with the look...

well here are a few pics after initial setup. I will get some current pics up soon. Made a few changes since the initial setup. Keep in mind the water is cloudy from the sand kicking up from setting it up.
