Ever seen a female betta make a bubblenest? Is it possible?

    Yes. Yes.

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Still possible. The female I had made bubble nests. Maybe she was a confused betta?

lol tim, i was gonna say that is a pretty brawny female in that pic!

i have never seen a female do this but they appear to be sexed correctly. let us know if that continues!

My daughters large female crowntail makes a bubblenest continuously, not certain if it is due to a lack of a male in the tank or perhaps she just doesn't want to be waiting to get rid of all those eggs..lol

Can you keep a male and female betta together or will they fight to the death

The male will constantly harrass her and eventually ehuast and kill her. I have heard of success in larger tanks with multiple females to diffuse the harassment (20+ gallon planted tanks)

+1 to the above, if she isnt ready to breed he will flat out kill her.

I'd say male halfmoon plakat ya got there! Extended anal fin usually is a male. The plakat would devastate that halfmoon!
