Sure, Betta will love you for all the tasty snacksDon't tell fish stories where people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.

J/K It really depends on what type of shrimp , some get pretty big . I don't now much about shrimp so I don't no the perimeters needed by any shrimp compatible with a Betta. What size tank you thinking ?Don't tell fish stories where people know you; but particularly, don't tell them where they know the fish.

my betta doesnt eat the neocaridina adults that he is with but hes probably taking the shrimplets at night. every betta seems different on what they will consider food. it will have to be heavily planted or there is no chance though. i wouldnt try it in a nano tank either.75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish

+1 to Totenkampf
Nanos are tight and with smaller/younger bettas it could work in a short term enviroment. As it gets older it will prey on them, especially the shrimplets. Plants and dense foliage will help, but eventually it will win out. Best shrimp with bettas in a nano would be Amanos as they are ginormous in comparison. Any of the fan shrimp could work as well, and possibly the machrobranchium shrimp. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

i would be concerned that the betta's fins would be too tempting for macrobrachium? i dont put anything past crustaceans lol.75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish
