I have no idea what kind of snails they are, they are small brown snails that started with one or two that came on some plants from Petco a couple months ago. You fish out 5 or 6 and 30 minutes later there is 3 or 4 more crawling around.

Both tanks that have the problem are not as bad as they were but both have fry in them so any changes to the tanks are out of the question for now since one of them are Danio fry (lots) that just started free swimming.

I got some assassins from Tim yesterday so I'm going to let them do their thing and see how it goes.

They might want to snack on the fry instead. Besides, goldfish do too but nobody seems to want them

Yeah I think the Oscar would eat up everything in the tanks. Goldfish, cold day in hell before my tanks see any of those.

hopefully these are MTS, a pic is always a good idea. MTS have trumpet or cornucopia shaped shells and burrow through the substrate. Assassins are great at eventually taking care of these. They are not so great with ramshorns or pond snails that dont visit the substrate. I would use a bottle trap or some cucumber in a food clip as well. Just remove the snails every morning and the assassins will root out the rest. Of course, like fshfrk says, reducing feeding will also make an impact.
