Tall tank. If you plan on keeping trophs with ideal results, I'd try to get a longer tank before investing in that light.

It sounds like the algae bloom is really effecting the environment. Do they look to be breathing hard. Bellies distended? Any signs of anything.

So did u try those 75 LEDs yet ? I would do a 100% water change and clean out the filters and start fresh IMO

Not quite there yet on the LEDs. One problem at a time.

Water changes, no complete break down cleanings. Just clean filters, shut down all light into the tank. Crude had this issue about 10 months ago. He did the same stuff, cleaned his filters, turned off all lights and got a uv sterilizer. Tank cleared up in about a week or so.

Concerned about the fish though. I think the algae bloom is depleting the oxygen levels.

So far I've moved all left to my sons 29 where they are looking much better doing a 95% water change on the tank changed the filter pad on the wet dry and gonna have the tank right before I move them back over

Becareful keeping them with Malawi's. They don't call it malawi bloat for nothing. Keep us up dated. I must recommend light feedings though.

It was the only established tank I have they could fit in so in They went. Water change is done on the big tank so far water appears clearer hopefully it stays that way and clears up quickly I'd love to get them back in a couple of weeks. No feedings for a couple of days gonna let them all settle in and try to minimize the stress

Good idea. If you run the lights, with yours being so powerful, I'd only run them for a few hours.
