What are your water parameters? Convicts can be very messy and water conditions can deteriorate without realizing just how bad the Nitrates are. I have noticed that Firemouths are far more finicky about higher parameters then convicts. Are the convicts bullying the Firemouths? I have had them in the past and they acted like rabid dogs that fought amongst themselves, unless anything new went into the tank. At that point they all banded together and swarmed over it.

I'd recommend some water changes (50-75%) and see if that helps pick up your firemouths appetite

Sometimes when you put new fish in a tank they dont eat as well. Till they settle in a lil bit and feel comfortable in their new home. That happend to me a week ago when i got a LRG calvus. But i agree with Roy do some water changes see what happens, and maybe offer up some different foods too

What are you feeding them with? Some fish are more picky about the food than others or may take a while. Have you tried frozen foods? My fish love frozen foods, but I only give them that every now and then
