I have a 30 gallon that is 2'-5.5" off the stand and a 20 gallon beneath that is 5.5". 2'.
I came home a found a danio in a tank beneath the tank that he was suppose to be in. The tank is close to the wall so she must have jumped it. I went and measured that the water surface was 2 inches beneath the lip of the tank. The danio must have jumped up two inches in the air, rebounded off the wall and landed or flipped into the tank two feet below.
I have seen fish jump between adjacent tanks, but off the wall 2 feet below is quite amazing. It is amazing, or I got a teleporting fish. Either way it is cool.
