What's up with this? Are these good to have because I just bought it and it changed color, into the pie bald after 3 weeks of roaming my tank. Can anyone enlighten me on these guys?

i used to have some that they would have like white in the tail and the body , i remember i buy them at fish ranch
and from all the ones in the tank sometimes they have some like that they look nice , substrate and light make pop out the white in them125 gal-P. Kachase,simochromis, vampire pleco,bn pleco,bulldog pleco

Substrate and lighting will often times change the color of any fish. Their diet and stress also affects this.Comment

I think it may be to do with certain tank conditions and stress? My common plec is usually a chocolate type of colour but after switching tanks he looked like this for a few days
