As some of you may know I was hired a few months ago to run Fish Ranch II for the new owner. Well, it finally happened. The deal finalized yesterday. I now have the freedom to do some advertising, sales, etc. and plan on being a big supporter of HoustonFishBox. So, to start things off....

It is my intention to post a regular list of incoming livestock and specials. I will attempt to post the livestock list tomorrow for items coming in Monday night (available for sale on Tuesday). Please bear in mind though that not everything that I order will always come in. Those of you who have been in to the store in the last week know that we have already started to bring the livestock back in--at real reasonable prices. Hope to see you soon!!

Awesome!  I really like going there when you are in there because you have been such a help to getting me back into this hobby I enjoyed so much as a kid.  You are definitely the most helpful person I have encountered in any store in Houston, so I know this will help an already great fish store become even better.  Looking forward to seeing the new stock list!

I was in Fish Ranch II today & I can tell everyone that the tanks are looking a LOT better.

I even had to pick up some new rams at a very good price.

Cant wait to see what else will be coming in.

I can vouch for Charles when he says things are changing!

All the tanks look a lot better then it did and the nice and oddball stuff are starting to trickle back in!


I got my Anemone from them the other day and it's absolutely amazing! Congrats on the change and wish you guys the best! FRII is cool cause it's right across from my workplace so I usually stop by before work.

For those of you who have never been in I thought I might whet your appetite.

Fish Ranch II is a very large store. I thought I might elaborate by telling everyone how many tanks of fish, plants, and inverts we have for sale:

Freshwater: 480 tanks (soon to be 489)

Saltwater: 146 tanks (soon to be 193)

And...a 1000 gallon tank in front with a correspondingly large sized Queenland Grouper.

I am SO glad to see you are getting things going!  FRII was always one of my favs, and is only a few miles up 59 from where I live!  

Thank you for posting the list!  My husband is now in trouble for not telling me about those Rams when he was in getting the Duboisi on Friday.  j/k     Just gives me an excuse to come in again next week!!

charles, congrats on your new position.  I've followed Mike since the late 80's so I'll be following you now.  LOL

Last time I was in the store I thanked Mike for all his help and encouragement in staying with the hobby.  Sounds like you'll be doing the same for the newcomers now.

We should...with that many tanks we can pretty much always take trade ins.
