Just to paint the back of the tank? Any color you want will work. I'm sure there isn't any specific colors of blue you're limited to.

Rephrase: blue ( any shade of your choice), black (any shade of your liking) or you can cough up 450 for a deluxe 3D background from aqua terra or design by nature (the 2 I know)

Use a latex based paint and it scrapes off real easy.

I have the Water Colors light blue background on my 180g Oceanic glass tank. You can't use it on acrylic tanks.

My daughter and I put in on back in 2005 and I've had no problems with it. You apply it like window tint. Not hard at all.

I bought mine on-line at Drs Foster & Smith. I think it cost me around $30-$35.

Here's a few pics of my background against CaribSea's Aragonite Select sand and 250 lbs of Texas Holey Rock.

180g Oceanic w/colony of 8 WC Moba Fronts (1m/7f) purchased from TNT Cichlids in Jan '05 & numerous fry. 1 F1 adult moba male. 2 2217 Eheims, 2 6080 Tunze Streams, WISA airpump, single stage Johnson ETC.....fishkeeping since 1988.

If you ever decide to go paint, latex along with acrylic based paints are really easy to take off.
