  • Eurobrace filtration questions

Hey guys I plan on doing this for my 2260s will u think it work and also how much flow loss will it have ? https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1.../edit?hl=en_US

i plan on doing this for 2 intakes and then 2 output with 90 letting it flow towards the middle lmk what u think

I don't see why it wouldn't work, you will lose some flow for sure. Drilling it is always an option.

Drilling isn't an option bc it was to hard to get it on the stand and also I had to install the bulk heads on it for my other 2 canisters already I just want to over filter the tank . Herm how much flow would I lose ?

        Eurobrace filtration questions

If your tank is acrylic I would just drill the top of the back wall or talk to someone about the cost to build some overflows in the tank ans drill the bottom.

What you propose should work but IMO if you are spending $800+ for filtration I'd want max output from them.

my tank is all glass and for the 2260: I got them for a steal and they have jut been sitting there so I plan to just use them for the setup for clearer water

The idea looks funky, but it'll work. I was thinking why not just do it like this? You wouldn't lose as much flow, but the return/intake will be offset by how long your eurobrace is from the back wall.

Just drill the euro brace so you can put the intake and etc though it. Don't need a bulk head

45 degree bends will increase flow vs your first pic with the 90 degree bends, and it will still sit against the back glass.

That would bother me a lot and I would end up taking it out

Drilling the brace would work but the why in the first picture will work too. If you double the size of the U pipe keeping all the other parts stock you won't loss any flow.
