  • How big of a circulation pump?

    Hey boxers,

I've got a 75gallon with a wet/dry with good filtration (Mag 7 pump), but I don't think it's enough circulation - the end of the tank opposite the overflow has pretty much no water movement. I'm looking to add a Koralia or equivalent circulation pump. What size should I go with (how many gph?). Keep in mind it's FW with blue dolphin cichlids, congo tetras, and a sandy substrate that I'd prefer not to be blown around like crazy.

    Thanks all,
    -Cpirnie3

I would get either the Koralia 1050 or the 1400 .

          I think just a 1050 will suffice

I would go with a slightly lower rating than what the overflow is rated for, with head loss in consideration.
