Here are some terrible pics I took of that tank, looks like they're not fly river turtles after all. Still pretty cool though.Originally posted by troy tucker View PostI agree.

i would love to swim in that tank! when i was a kid, my parents went on a scuba trip to florida, and i would snorkel at the surface while they dove in the cold springs. at one point at the rainbow river, i was at the surface while they were about 20ft down, and i was watching my dad as he was showing me some plants at the bottom. when i looked over to the right, all i saw was a row of teeth! i was about 8 or 9 years old, and about 4 1/2 feet tall, and right next to me in the water was a alligator gar about 6ft long! it was so much bigger than me, and less than a foot away, swimming right next to me. all i saw were it's teeth, and it's eye right next to me, looking into my own... it was checking me out! i could see the intelligence as it made eye contact, it scared the crap out of me! i swam as fast as i could to the bank, ripped my fins off and scrambled up the bank so fast i sliced my foot open on a rock. then my dad came to the surface laughing hysterically, and pointed out i was on the wrong side of the river, and i would have to get back in and swim back across... with my foot bleeding profusely. i'm not scared to swim with them anymore.

Reminds me of when I was snorkling in the Cayman Islands a couple of years ago and looked over and saw a 4~5 ft barracuda! I think I posted that video on here..
