  • Pundamilia Nyererei "Makobe Island"

Well, I decided that I missed my old Nyererei group. In the past, I had Ruti Island collection point, so this time around I got a hold of a Makobe Island collection point. Not great pics, but still easily shows why they're my favorite fish. These guys are about 2" in size now, so they show color very very early. They're maybe 5-6 weeks old.

Tunedis - I think that big one you had was from me too. I had 4 generations of those guys and I think you had two different generation males from me. Those were "Ruti islands" and these are makobe. Both awesome looking. I have a female holding now. Main male is nearing 4". Not bad for being a little over 2 months old!

Vics are generally small fish. The males will max out around 5" or so. They just breed early and grow quick.

Dude are you sure these fish are as young as you are claiming? I have never seen a cichlid that maxes out at 5" reach 4" in two months.

Yeah, I got this group at 1". I used to sell my fry at 1-1.5" last year when I had my old group, took around 2 weeks for them to reach that size. and it's been 2 months since I've had these guys. It's how victorians are. Males dance and show full color at 2" in size.
