There's so many Petro, Troph, or other African tanks. It would be nice to see more threads on CA/SA fish that aren't geos.

A regular silver one? Or the nicer Black ones? Jardinis are awesome too!

Regular silver or I might splurge and get a black or a goonch catfish(I'm kidding). I might do one teacup sting ray.

I would ditch the stingray idea, most all are illegal to keep in texas and the ones that are legal are meant to be in saltwater.

The atlantic ray will produce massive amounts of ammonia and if not dead it will quickly be too big for any 200g I've seen readily available.

+1 the tea cup rays are illegal in Texas if I'm not mistaken. The ones you do see pop up in lfs every now and then are the Atlantic ones I think.

Sadly piranhas are illegal as well.

                            Re: New to Hobby

You have a lot of options for a 200gal. Mini monsters, sa, ca, Africans, schooling/shoaling, etc. It's more of what your preferences are since it is your tank and you'll be caring and watching over whatever livestock you get.

Check out the exodons listed in the group buy section.

A large enough school/shoal of them would make any tank impressive and would also satisfy the want for a "aggressive" tank.
