Algae Problem

I have a 75 gallon tank that I currently hold baby monsters, I am upgrading soon, I have this algae on the walls of my tank and it's very thin and hard to get off! What kind is this and do I scrape it off? I just don't want to scare the fish, very relaxed and happy.

Just when I wake up(7-9) and turn off at 5 or 6

8-11 hours is quite long. Step it down to about 6-8 hours since you have "baby monsters". How big are the fish and how many of them are there? You wouldn't happen to be overfeeding, are you? How much do you feed and how often? Any pics? The algae is most likely diatom algae caused from long photoperiods, excessive nutrients, or overfeeding.

Stop leaving the light on too long.

To bandaid the problem, a simple algae magnet scraper or razor will clean it right off

I have a baby arowana 4" in a 75 gallon, and I feed once a week, maybe twice a week!

Once or twice a week for a growing fish? Maybe if the fish was fully grown, it would be fine. Your problem is having the light on for too long. Cut back on it.

This helps too. Helps get rid of extra nutrients from the fish and food that the algae is feeding on. Cutting out the lights or at least lowering how long it's on for will help greatly.
