        well, i got tired of the pigeon's feather so it went in the trash. Here's where i'm at now (mid waterchange, sorry)



        My HC never took off, so i decided to add 3 more pots. I didnt break up the pots in hopes that it would be harder to uproot. We'll see.

          Have you upgraded the lighting yet? It's very possible that's why the HC never took off, as it needs quite a bit of light (and ferts and CO2).

                NO these are brackish, they will live for a while but will get fungus or die mysteriously.
                Are you sure thay are B. xanthozona?

                I have some Brachygobius aggregatus and they are freshwater. You can also find Brachygobius xanthomelas which is a freshwater goby. All of these look similar and likely easily confused

                    Hi, the combination looks good. They are all peaceful fishes, and should be okay together. Just make sure the tank is not too crowded.

                    BTW, may I ask where did you buy your Celestrial Danio? I already have a population of them, but just want some more.

                      ID on the goby is right, have a look at FranksAquarium.com under his nano-fish section for the "real" freshwater gobies....and more besides. I can recommend this site (if you can't find what you need at you LFS of course!) as I bought many of my shrimps from there....

                        He was the last one for sale at FRII (maybe 3 months ago). Charles has a few in a display tank, but he wont ever sell them to me. He said a big shipment of them was supposed to go in around Christmas, but they didnt show. I don't know what the deal is now.
                        I'm just waiting to get more. My guy is lonely

                          Oh. I am just afraid they will get extincte. Galaxy is very beautiful fish. What a pity!

                              That's actually pretty cheap if it's overnight.

                              As for Celestials the price on that site offsets the shipping since most/all LFS will sell them for $10 easy.....Fish Gallery has some.
