To try and make a long story short, I came home New Years morning to an ugly site.
My largest and most monstrous fish, my 23" Silver Arowana was dead in the corner of my room, 5ft from it's tank.
Usually, I keep weights on the lids of the tank to prevent him from being able to push the lid up and escape, but this time, I completely forgot to put the weights back after feeding the night before; and this is what happened as the result of my forgetfulness. The glass lids themselves are pretty heavy, but apparently not heavy enough to stop an arowana this big.
I had a nice little burial this past Saturday, and I don't plan on doing arowana's again for a very long time.
