looking to buy some white silica sand went to a few pool places but all they have is a dark tan color anyone know where i could get my hands on some

I haven't seen any white sand at pool places. The sand I've seen is tan but it looks a lot lighter in color when it is in a bright light.

If you want white, look into play sand at Home Depot or other stores.

The PFS (pool filter sand) is a tan color, aragonite sand is truly white. You can find it at most pet stores, but it does run a bit more cash. I have never seen a truly white silica sand before.

just made a call to a company supposed to give me a call back soon they make a product called mystic white pool filter sand seeing if any stores in Houston carry it if not im just gonna head to leslie's pool supply

You can find a true white silca sand but its extremely pricey home depot and lowes both carry it but they only sell it in two pound bags its for cigarette urns

Leslies changed their PFS. now its darker then it was. The store out here on hwy 6 still has the older whiter sand.

I haven't seen it in a good while. Fish gallery sells a nice white sand, 50 pounds for $20

i bought mines from ace hardware for $12.99 for a 50lbs bag. its not brown nor is it white. under the correct light i think it'll pass for white.
