  • One rainbowfish started diving into the javamoss.

Okay on Sunday, I did a water change, a quick pruning, and cut some overgrown plants and thin out java moss. Took out a medium piece of driftwood/javamoss tree to create some more swimming space for the tank, replaced it with a cichlid cave. Later on, during the day I introduced a pair of bolivian rams into the tank. Like 5 hours later I notice one of my celebes rainbow dived into the java moss carpet. I thought it was stuck so I tried to free it. It was swimming well after. This morning I found it in the java moss carpet again, I free it again and it went back to normal. I'm wondering what is going on with that fish. Aside from that fish, the rest are acting normal. The other 3 rainbows didn't care as they're the only top swimmer. The bolivian rams fit right in and is swimming around checking the tank.
The tank is 40 gallon fully planted with 10 neon tetras, 4 celebes rainbow, and 2 new bolivian rams. I don't believe that this tank is any close to being fully stocked.

Is it trying to spawn? Not an expert, but just taking a guess...

I dont know either I'm just afraid that it might get tangled in the javamoss carpet and die. It did it twice so far, I had to take it out of the java moss thick carpet.
