cascade 1500 canister wtf!?!!?!

So i bought a cascade 1500 canister filter and hooked it all up and it leaked all the way around the motor.

So ok i bought a new motor gasket. Installed it today and was like heck ya it fixed my problem.....
Then i noticed a pool party leaking from the rear of the canister.

Anyone have any thoughts????

Its deff leaking from the clamp.
And they are all tight.

I didnt buy it new. That would have been plan A

use proxy on the outside then.

If there is not a crack it would have to be the seal. you can try some thread tape or get a new seal.

already bought a new seal. it went from leaking all around to just the back. so large improvement but still.

Also to note it seemed to be spitting some air out the out tube but that could have just been air in the canister

Seems like they knew it did that but sold it to ya anyways. Try applying silicone?

I have an Eheim that does that. I used plumbers tape wrapped the seal a few time and that stopped it. I have an other that has 2 seals or it leak.
Hope you get it worked out...

well tried to clean everything and i keep doing the bath tub test but its still leaking a little . nothing looks cracked at all.
seems that it wont prime without filling the tube with water.

Toss it and get an Eheim. You don't want any surprises when you get home from work!

Did you lubricate the o-ring?

i bought a new o ring.
